What are tax credits and how do they work?

Advanced Premium Tax Credits are based on your household adjusted gross income. They are paid to the health insurance company each month, reducing the amount you have to pay.

Who qualifies for premium tax credits?

With the American Rescue Plan even more people qualify for premium tax credits. The maximum income has been removed so now even more middle to upper middle income people can qualify. See how much you qualify for.

When can I apply or change my health insurance?

Each year there are Open Enrollment Periods. The OEP for Individuals and Families is from November 1 - December 15.

For Medicare beneficiaries, the Annual Enrollment Period is October 15 - December 7. New Medicare beneficiaries should set an appointment 4 months before the month they turn 65. Schedule an Appointment Now.

There are also Special Enrollment Periods. You can apply if you have certain qualifying events such as a move, birth, marriage, divorce or losing your employer sponsored coverage or COBRA.
